Ukraine launches new cyber hygiene course for its defense forces

(Ministry of Defence of Ukraine)

By Ministry of Defence of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has launched a new training course, “Cyber Hygiene 2.0,” via the Army+ app, focusing on basic yet critically essential cybersecurity rules for daily service in the Defence Forces of Ukraine. The course helps service members operate safely in the digital environment and reduce the risks of information leaks, cyberattacks, and technical compromise.

The course program consists of 14 training modules and explains how to safely use smartphones, computers, the Internet, social media and messaging apps, as well as how to work with passwords, Wi-Fi, USB flash drives and service systems. The course places particular emphasis on enemy cyber threats—phishing, malware, viruses, botnets, DDoS attacks, and internal cyber incidents—as well as on response protocols for critical situations.

The training is built around practical examples and real-world scenarios. Each module includes interim tests, followed by a final exam and a certificate confirming the acquisition of cybersecurity knowledge and skills.
