‘Malicious’ threat targets Pulaski Electric System in ‘cyber attack,’ interrupting customer services

Weeks of interruptions to Pulaski Electric System (PES) services for customers have been caused by a cyber attack, the utility provider revealed this week.

“PES has learned that it was the victim of a cybersecurity attack by a malicious threat actor,” a statement from the provider said in part.

Despite the interruptions, PES said as of Monday that “remediation efforts have found no sensitive customer information has been impacted.”
