FSU shooting suspect was in ‘constant communication with ChatGPT’ before attack, attorney says

New developments are unfolding in Tallahassee this week following last year’s deadly mass shooting at Florida State University.

The FSU community is coming up on one year since a gunman tore through campus, taking the lives of two, injuring six others, and traumatizing hundreds.

On April 17, 2025, the suspect, 21-year-old Phoenix Ikner, opened fire on campus, shooting and killing both Robert Morales and Tiru Chabba, police said.
