Ransomware gang ‘CrazyHunter’ targets critical Taiwanese orgs
An emerging ransomware threat group tracked as “CrazyHunter” is targeting Taiwanese organizations across critical sectors such as healthcare and education.
According to Trend Micro researchers, the group has become a “serious” threat since it emerged in the past month, employing sophisticated techniques to target a range of organizations — all located in Taiwan.
Trend Micro emphasized CrazyHunter’s use of open source technology from GitHub, such as the Prince Ransomware Builder and process killer tool ZammoCide.
